The Mystic As a Force for Change (A Quest book)

Thoughts

Flora and fauna of the mind emotions and imagenation. all of the enviroment is of the same nature as our emotions, ideas, thoughts, feelings, consciousness ect... are an innate aspect of totality. there are seamless interactions existing within our reality and a infinite amount dimensions and potentiality existing all as reality itself our environment our nature is that nature this physical reality is a very small facet of totality. our mind is this totality we have some aspect in our nature that is outside of space, outside of time there is no space or place our true nature is this nature. that timeless awareness that is reality and life itself its a huge play ground of energy and bliss interdependent and co-arising. all things are aspects of other things all of the things are of the same nature it is a self reflecting hologram and fractal all aspects are in all aspects all the time. the potentials and conditions just have to be present and a flame or a person would appear anywhere in the universe like a sound or rainbow in the sky. The minds nature is also of reflection this special quality of totality itself is the image we were made in it is what we are. a mirror has the potential to reflect anything without being afraid or attaching to any one image the mirror has the potential of infinite reflection as our mind does. if you can clear and still ones nature the mind can reflect a myriad of infinite potential. using various methods of attuning the mind and body one can begin to effect reality itself even more so then we do now. many gods and beings are flora and fauna valleys and hills of various planes of reality reality we overlay various aspects with our own misunderstanding and misapprehensions most of the time at worst creating monsters.

Transformation of consciousness

Transformation of human consciousness has always been a effect and goal of many of the spiritual practices and traditions around the world. Foresite, reasoning, dreaming, thinking, myth making, hunting all these various capacities have been and still are spiritual functions of our nature. Various points of focus and concentration have brought about many changes in the over all conscious function of man kind. Shaman early leaders, priest, holy men, sages many of these men existed as a very small portion of the of these over all cultures. these intellectuals and sages made up a small but powerful portion. They realized early on from experience that various visionary, mystical and spiritual experiences effected people in interesting ways opening them up to new information, understanding and awareness. Small changes in perceptions and understandings realizations about the nature of reality bring about overall changes in consciousness and being. Transcendental experiences bring about dynamic changes in the nature of consciousness, overall changes end up altering experience and reality itself. As the nervous system expands and various portions of our body and mind are worked with new layers and levels of experience and reality come in to immediate experience. Many methods such as breathing exercises physical positions and postures methods of visualization, relaxation, meditation, thought experiment and ritual all have been used to move the mind for thousands of years.since the dawn of our species as we know it, some of these being what brought us in to human culture and society.

Aghori 1/6

Aghora (literally, "non-terrifying") is the spiritual path that seeks to negate all that is ghora ("terrible, terrifying") in life. The ghora encompasses all those experiences that most people find intolerable, for almost everyone is as ready to enjoy life's pleasures as they are to avoid misery. Most spiritual advisers admonish their devotees to shy away from the ghora, but aghoris (practitioners of Aghora) embrace the ghora fervidly, for what most terrifies an aghori is the prospect of becoming mired in duality. Aghoris go so far into the ghora that the ghora becomes tolerable to them; diving deeply into darkness, an aghori finally surfaces into light. No means to awakening is too disgusting or frightening for an aghori, for Aghora is the Path of the Shadow of Death, the path that forcibly separates an individual from attachment to every ordinary self-descriptor.

Shiva's Flesh

Agori Santus are those Hindus that according to the myth eat semi-burned corpses, in order to raise closer to their godlike spirit. Do they exist or not? If they exist can we call them paranoiac cannibals or are they human beings who live in a reality that is impossible to be understood from us? Or even more, are they "little Gods" that we must respect them?

Extreme Pilgrim - Hinduism

He now sets off on a quest in search of a more physical and mystical path to enlightment. Pete says: "What I'm looking for is a spirituality that is absent from western Christianity. A spirituality I know exists in the extremes of world religions. "I hope to enter worlds where rule book and doctrine are replaced by an individual relationship with God and where the attainment of enlightenment is won by hardship, privation and pain. I have to become an extreme pilgrim."

You know, huge libraries full of books and theological bookshops. But we don't do anything physical. It's going to be very challenging indeed." Pete is thrown straight into a gruelling routine of Kung Fu, the central technique in Chan Buddhism (also known as Zen Buddhism in Japan)

Beyond Theology Mysticism Perennial Philosophy Charles Atkins, Jr 1

Beyond Theology Mysticism and the Perennial Philosophy hoasted by Charles Atkins, Jr
According to Huxley, the perennial philosophy is: The metaphysic that recognizes a divine Reality substantial to the world of things and lives and minds; the psychology that finds in the soul something similar to, or even identical with, divine Reality; the ethic that places man's final end in the knowledge of the immanent and transcendent Ground of all being; the thing is immemorial and universal. Rudiments of the perennial philosophy may be found among the traditional lore of primitive peoples in every region of the world, and in its fully developed forms it has a place in every one of the higher religions. (The Perennial Philosophy, p. vii).

Tibetan Buddhism Videos (Sutra,Yoga,Tantra)

Yogis Of Tibet
Since the invasion of Tibet over 50 years ago, China has systematically destroyed the Tibetan culture. One of the most profound losses is the tradition of the great master yogis. The entire system which supported these fascinating mind masters has been inexorably eliminated. In order to record these mystical practitioners for posterity, the filmmakers were given permission to film heretofore secret demonstrations and to conduct interviews on subject matter rarely discussed. This profound historical, spiritual and educational film will someday be the last remnant of these amazing practitioners.

Arnaud Desjardins - Buddhism 1
In 1963, for the first time, the Dalai Lama allowed a Westerner, Desjardins, to film the heart of the Tibetan tradition. These two films were originally shown on French television in the 1960's and are a wonderful testimony, revealing some of Tibet's foremost masters as they were then. It includes footage of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, the Sixteenth Karmapa, Dudjom Rinpoche, Ling Rinpoche, Chatral Rinpoche, Sakya Trizin, and the yogis Abo Rinpoche and Lopon Sonam Zangpo. The original sixties commentaries have been retained, even though it may sound a bit dated in places.

Arnaud Desjardins - Tantrism 1
These portraits of the legendary Tibetan masters are not simply a unique historical record, not only a stunning and moving inspiration for now and for the future, but an extraordinary testimony, a treasure."
-Sogyal Rinpoche.

Buddhist Documentary Tantra of Gyuto 1-6
Buddhism Documentary - Tantra of Gyuto: Sacred Rituals of Tibet (1968) Monks of the Gyuto Tantric College perform sacred Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies in a style of chanting that expresses the ecstasy of true meditation. Through ritual and mantric power and by their sheer inherent potency and disciplined execution, these concentrated essential energies bring about direct spiritual phenomena. The rituals, introduced by the Dalai Lama, are interwoven with powerful images of Tibetan sacred art. The film is prefaced by an account of Tibetan history that incorporates archival footage from the 1920s until the Chinese takeover of Tibet in 1959.

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche 1/5
This film is an authentic portrait of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, one of Tibet's great contemporary teachers, considered to be a "Master of Masters" among the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

The Journey To Nangchen
The nuns’ story is a classic example of dedication and tenacity. Organized in nunneries comprised of several “Ani houses” (dwellings where up to 15 nuns live together), they perform their spiritual practices in a group, teaching and helping each other all their lives. Many nuns do three-year, nine-year or even lifetime retreat. On retreat, each nun sits all day in meditation posture doing her yogic practices and meditation.
